Warner Bros. Discovery today announced that brand-new cooking competition format 100 Cooks will be localised and roll out in around thirty of WBD’s international territories, across networks, discovery+ and HBO Max, following the US launch on 7 June 2026 on Food Network. Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) will handle global format sales, with rights for local versions available to broadcasters and streamers internationally.
Produced for Food Network US by Lando Entertainment, the series is hosted by actor, television host and former pro football player Terry Crews, who welcomes 100 of the country’s best home cooks to run through an epic culinary gauntlet where 99 cooks will be eliminated and only one is named best home cook and wins as much as $250,000. From firefighters and college students to corporate lawyers and stay-at-home moms and dads, these competitors are from all walks of life and share a passion and talent for food. In each episode, competitors are selected at random by a lottery ball “Cook Mixer” to come to the floor after the “Challenge Mixer” dictates what food-themed battle they will face. Each round is judged by top culinary content creator Nick DiGiovanni and Food Network all-star Alex Guarnaschelli, who will determine who stays in the competition each week and who is sent home.
The first episode of 100 Cooks will premiere on Food Network in the US and will be available globally on Nick DiGiovanni’s YouTube channel. The cooking competition will be then distributed across Warner Bros. Discovery’s international networks and streaming platforms, localised into over 15 languages via dubbing and subtitling. Some of the first markets to air the show in EMEA include the UK on Food Network, as well as France, Nordics, Poland, Hungary, Balkans, Romania on TLC. The show will also be available to watch on HBO Max and discovery+ across majority of WBD’s international markets.
WBITVP will handle international format sales of 100 Cooks, offering broadcasters and streamers the rights to produce locally adapted versions tailored to regional talent, cuisines and audiences.
Myriam Lopez-Otazu, SVP International Unscripted Content & Global Networks at Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA, said: “100 Cooks is a fresh, high-energy take on the cooking competition genre—scaling the drama and the fun with great talent, 100 brilliant home cooks, unpredictable ‘Challenge Mixer’ twists and a prize pot that grows as the field narrows. We can’t wait to see how the show travels internationally, where our audiences remain hungry for big stakes, big personalities and authentic food storytelling.”
Andrew Zein, EVP Creative Format Development and Sales at WBITVP added: “The love for food is universal and we’re thrilled to be bringing 100 Cooks to our global partners. The premise is immediately captivating, as the instantly iconic lottery ball combines prime time entertainment with the tension of the culinary world – from every ‘mise en place’ to final plate. Commissioners are still looking for big stakes entertainment and reality, and 100 Cooks delivers with every bite.”
